Around 200 people are expected at the opening of Studio 13, The University of Auckland School of Architecture and Planning’s MArch(Prof) Graduate Exhibition at Geyser, Parnell tonight (1 November).
“Staff, students and supporters will be there as well as important figures and people from the architecture industry, those who have either been involved in critiquing the work or are looking for fresh talent,” says Ashlin Raymond, Auckland University’s Public Programmes Coordinator.
Eighty students are presenting innovative and visually stunning projects covering a range of topics. After tonight’s opening, the exhibition will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 3pm.
“We thought it would be great to hold this event in a new architecturally designed building. It also relates to the school as it was designed by our 2013 distinguished Alumni Andrew Patterson,” says Ashlin.
